Latvian independent rock stage is as a matter of fact rich in impressive performers who can easily compete with their British counterparts credited for being originators of indie-rock.

“The Sound Poets” (all their songs are in Latvian despite the deceptive English name) and their two ballad-style albums (“Pulsē” and “Tavs stāsts”) really stand apart from what one hears on the European indie stage in general: sophisticated song texts, very often close to poetry sung to the guitar, elaborated music patterns, unusually sounding usual instruments.

English title: The Sound Poets “Pulse”, “Your Story”
Original title (Latvian): The Sound Poets “Pulsē”, “Tavs stāsts”
