Walter Burley (1275-1344), Medieval scholastic philosopher and logician who wrote the first and, as one can judge from the quantity of the copies that remained, the most popular overview of the history of philosophy.
Although written in the early Middle Ages, most facts are quite correct, whereas Latin is pretty easy to understand.
