Antanas A. Jonynas (b. 1953) is a famous Lithuanian poet, and one his texts was sung in the early 2010s by a composer and performer Giedrius Arbačiauskas (1971).
Summer days and nights are in their decline, so there is room for melancholy, memories – and something more.
Sako,
Vilniuj nebūna baltųjų naktų?
Netiesa, netiesa…
They say there are no white nights in Vilnius, it’s not true, not true…
Live recorded at a festival, and Giedrius Arbačiauskas’s voice is really soothing along with the profound text.
