Still pondering over what was happening in Moscow today, I keep thinking of one of the most dramatic moments in Roger Water’s “The Wall” (1982) in the first place.

Tear down the wall! Tear down the wall!

I usually go over this very episode to review all my values: freedom, dignity, courage; the whole of the musical movie being something so multi-faceted to me that I never dare speak of it in simple statements or mere constatations of facts.

Original title: “The Wall”
Music by Roger Waters (Pink Floyd)
Film by Alan Parker (“Evita”, 1996, is also his)
Animation by Gerald Scarfe
