“A Perfect Cycle” have finally collected their forces and recorded their fourth studio album after almost fifteen years of silence.
“Eat the Elephant” (2018; recorded 2010-2018) is really a huge event in the world of progressive and hard rock: the maturation of their style is clearly heard in every note.
They add sophisticated piano and violin parts, while Maynard James Keenan concentrates on social and humanitarian issues in his lyrics.
The music is far from being dynamic: one track as if meditatively yields the next one, and you keep repeating like mantras: “try walking like Jesus”, “heroin for you”, “time is money, money’s time”…
