Bought this book as a scientific present for my friend in Saint Petersburg who specializes on interior design and furniture — and read it myself with huge interest.
I always thought that there is nothing to discuss in this domain (“what’s so absorbing in glasses and chairs?“) — but all of a sudden the author deploys the world of everyday things in a brand new light: it is viewed as an independent artistic universe.
