Have been reading Czech-language literature extensively these days.

Here are three classical Czech novels of the 19th – early 20th centuries giving you the idea of what Czech life at that time was.

Written in good Czech, they are pretty easy to understand, especially if you have other Slavic languages in your pocket, or if your Czech is intermediate.
