Have just swallowed this Die Zeit’s “Heft” (lit. “copybook”) dedicated to Hitler’s war against the Soviet Union 1941-1945. It is a marvelous collection of German-language articles written by professional researchers in this field from Russia and Germany. All the details and all the painful questions in the most bloody chapter of the whole human history are literally there, condensed under one cover.
It is also one more example of high-quality journalism when a publishing house is courageous to look into the most dark corners of our past.
