“Marina Salié 1992 Report” is one of the core documents helping understand corruption in Russia and where the current regime is actually rooted.

A special committee headed by Marina Salié (1935-2012) in Leningrad presented this report in 1992 detailing the schemes of economic machinations and crimes where Vladimir Putin’s name appears for the first time in the context of direct accusations of law breach.

Amazingly, the then mayor of Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg), Anatoly Sobchak, ignored the demands to fire Putin.

Read this, and your doubts whether Putin’s regime popped up “all of a sudden and out of nowhere”, or it is a logical continuation of the 1990s, will fade into beautiful light.
