Mint Vinetu second-hand bookstore with coffee in Vilnius is one of the biggest local discoveries not listed by any of the guides. It is here that I stuck into the corner with a cup of coffee to give my online lesson on ‘civilisation française’.
But the fact is that the streets are so winding that even the locals are dubious about how to give directions to a visitor.
Epic fail is the one with the girl in the tourist information office (!):
— Do you actually know the city or do you only hand out maps?
— I know, I know.
And shows me the way in the opposite direction.
