So, let us finally plunge into Madrid’s city life. Where I live is just 5 minutes on foot from the edge of Madrid’s historical center: Manuel Becerra sq. is actually like a border between residential and historic blocks. This is clearly seen underfeet: the pavement of the Alcalá street. After Manuel Becerra sq. towards downtown it is a comfortably organized walking zone with dozens of cafes and hundreds of sitting places under the streets. 20 minutes from Becerra is Sol, Prado and Plaza Mayor.
